The regatta is on the Albany Reach section of the river as shown on the map below. The site is accessed from the river end of Aragon Avenue. The postcode of the bottom of Aragon Avenue is KT7 0PY and the What3Words location is ///speech.else.chat.

Only vehicles towing boat trailers, vehicles with boats on their roofs, some non-towing school minibuses, and vehicles for Disabled Badge Holders will be allowed down Aragon Avenue. Disabled Badge Holders should contact info@thamesdittonregatta.co.uk to get an Albany Reach Parking Pass.

No other vehicles will be allowed down Aragon Avenue as there is no space for them to park on the regatta site and this residential road has to be kept clear for trailer access and residents. See Parking below for suggestions on where else you can park.

When choosing your approach route, please note that there is no right turn into Summer Road if you are heading north up Hampton Court Way. Therefore, if taking that route, continue north over Hampton Court Bridge, go right round the roundabout, and then you can turn left into Summer Road when heading south on Hampton Court Way.

Parking

Unfortunately, despite trying, the regatta has been unable to secure a dedicated parking area for spectators/competitors cars not transporting boats.

Although some parking is available in nearby streets (please be extra careful to park courteously, to observe the Highway Code, and not to block driveways, park too close to junctions etc) we strongly encourage you to use one of the following public car parks that are a short walk away:

  • The Pay & Display carpark in Ashley Road in the center of thames Ditton village where you can park all day for £5. From there walk through Church Walk to Summer Road and thence to the regatta site.
  • Hampton Court Railway Station car park, which costs £3.90 all day, and is about 10-15 mins walk away (2024 prices).

CHANGE FOR 2024: Coaches (as in luxury buses, not rowing instructors) should disembark (and embark at the end of the day)  their passengers at the Hampton Court Railway Station coach park in front of the station. They can then park there for the rest of the day for £28 (pay in the ticket Office), or go elsewhere if they know a better option. Competitors and their chaperones who have disembarked there can walk to the regatta site in 10-15 minutes without crossing any roads (other than 1 tiny cul de sac).
Coach drivers are requested NOT to try and disembark passengers near the top of Aragon Avenue – additional double yellow lines were added around there in 2024, and it causes local traffic congestion as there are a number of traffic bollards. The regatta is in a residential area and if we lose the goodwill of residents, the futire of the regatta could be endangered. Thank you.
