(Still) an excellent event which was enjoyed by our rowers and supporters alike.
Clearly an event which puts the rowers first. Other events could learn a lot from TDR.
And it seemed to run on time! Awesome.
Thames Ditton Regatta was established in 1948. It remains a very popular event in the British rowing calendar. The charm of our traditional riverside setting attracts a full entry of over 200 crews from schools, clubs and universities from all over England. Racing takes place upstream on a 900-metre course that passes alongside Hampton Court Palace.

Thanks again for having arrange my participation, it was a pleasure to race at Thames Ditton. The organization was perfect, so congratulation to the whole committee.
Just a note to thank you for the wonderful Regatta yesterday – the club thoroughly enjoyed themselves, experienced some great racing (and very close finishes at times) and came away with a sense of pride and achievement.
The regatta was very well organised and our thanks go to all concerned.
Just a quick note to say thanks very much indeed for the TDR on Saturday…..despite no wins (apparently that’s not everything) the kids had a great day…they were all the younger end of the club. The plate events worked out perfectly for them as it kept them racing through the day. Very good feedback from the kids and coaches all round.
I wish there were more events like yours!
